Sage 300 2024 updates were released to customers starting in September 2023. These updates included new features, such as eInvoicing and HR integrations, as well as improved web screens, project and job costing screens, and much more. Below is an overview of the latest Sage 300 updates.

Sage 300 2024 - Latest Release

Password Security Upgrades

Sage 300 offers excellent security for passwords. Users have the option to require complex passwords that must include a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, a number, and a special character. Plus, additional technical upgrades and enhancements improve overall security.

New Web Screens for Project and Job Costing

With this update, you can install modernized versions of Sage 300 screens that you can use in a web browser. The web screens and desktop screens run in parallel, so users can choose the interface that works best for them. These screens include equipment usage, adjustments, timecards, transaction history, and more. 

• Equipment Usage. Use the PJC Equipment Usage screen to record the use of your company’s equipment.
• Adjustments. Use the PJC Adjustments screen to transfer or adjust timecard, equipment usage, material usage, material return, cost, or charge transactions that you have posted in Project and Job Costing.
• Timecards. Use the PJC Timecards screen to enter timecards for employees. This is how you charge job-related labor costs to projects.
• Transaction History. Use the PJC Transaction History screen to view details for transactions posted in Project and Job Costing and job-related transactions posted in other Sage 300 programs.
• Transaction History Report. The report provides a listing of transactions that appear on the Transaction History screen. You can print the report for a selected range of contracts, projects, categories, cost classes, customers, contract status, and project status.

Improvements to Entering Job-Related Documents in Purchase Order

Sage made significant improvements in adding job-related documents in Purchase Order. You can now enter and work with job-related documents on all Purchase Order web screens. This includes the following:

• PO Analytical Reports

  • Posting Journals: added Job Related checkbox
• PO Statistics and Inquiries
  • PO Purchase History: added job columns in the Purchase History Detail
  • PO Pending Receipts Inquiry: added job columns in the PO Pending Receipts Details screen
• PO Create Purchase Orders - Create POs from Requisitions – added Job Related checkbox
• Setup – Optional Fields – added Job Related settings

Financial Report for the Web

Sage 300 Financial Reporter for the Web is a tool used to change the appearance of general ledger data. You can format, graph, and print GL data using this tool. Financial Reporter for the Web taps into Microsoft Excel to create financial statements and statement specifications, seamlessly displaying data from Sage 300 General Ledger. (Please note that Sage Intelligence Report Cloud [SIRC] has been deprecated with the introduction of Financial Reporter for the Web.)

Compliance – IRAS ASR Tier 2 (Singapore Tax Report Direct Submission)

Doing business in Singapore? This update will be helpful to you. Compliance - IRAS ASR Tier 2 (Singapore Tax Report Direct Submission) is a feature enhancement only available from the existing Tax Singapore (TS) module. It was designed to report GST Taxes for form 5 and form 8 (F5 and F8) digitally via the IRAS (Government) server website.

Direct API Bank Feeds

Access to Direct API bank feeds may be added by Sage Service Fabric in the 2024 Sage 300 release.

Additional Web APIs

New web APIs in the 2024 release include CP employee, UP employee, and IC Item location details.

Global Search Now Available in Sage 300 2024.0

One notable difference between Sage 300 2023 and 2024 is that the Global Search feature is now available in the updated version. It wasn’t available in the 2023 update.
