With the impending retirement of Microsoft FRx, many of you may be currently researching alternative reporting options for your organization. Luckily FRx is not going to suddenly stop working so we have plenty of time for a transition. Even better, after conducting their own research Sage has identified a great product from Alchemex which may be just what you’re looking for, called Sage Business Intelligence.
Features and Benefits
Based on the familiar Microsoft Excel application, Sage Business Intelligence allows users to get up and running quickly, and has the capacity to work across all of the different Sage product lines including: Sage Accpac; Sage PFW ERP; and Peachtree. With six carefully developed standard reporting templates, you have a wide range of reporting capabilities right at your fingertips including:
- A comprehensive dashboard
- Operation analysis reports
- And several iterations of financial income and balance sheet statements
Simply run one of the out-of-the-box reports and start slicing and dicing information; it’s that easy. Sage Business Intelligence even goes beyond your General Ledger reporting needs providing Intelligence across your entire ERP system.
Migrating from FRx to Sage Business Intelligence
New sales of FRx will cease with the release of Sage PFW ERP version 5.9, and customers may convert to Sage Business Intelligence any time after that. To help customers with the transition, Sage will provide all on-plan Sage PFW ERP customers with one free Intelligence Report Manager License as an FRx “trade in.” If customers purchased additional FRx licenses and/or modules, they will receive an equivalent product mix.
